Since it is a destination wedding, we understand that some people will want to travel with children and a babysitter. We think this is very nice, and we welcome all children and babysitters on Friday. Please include a comment about who is coming in the RSVP
We hope for your understanding that we want a child-free wedding on Saturday.
During the wedding, you will probably hear several Vietnamese phrases.
Here is a quick guide:
Chào - Hello
Chuc mung - Congratulations
Mot, hai, ba, gio - one, two, three, in (which is toast)
And a very important sentence:
Khong say khong ve - not drunk, not home
Friday: Cocktail.
On this day, many people will wear Vietnamese traditional dress "ao dai". If you have a folk costume, national costume or exciting traditional costume, you are most welcome to wear it.
Saturday: Tuxedo/black suit
We think it is great if you help us capture the moments all angles during the wedding weekend. During the actual wedding ceremony, we want a mobile-free moment, but you are free to take pictures when the bride walks to the altar and after the priest says "you may kiss the bride".
We hope you will share the photos/films with us and have created an app for this purpose.
There are several possible modes of transportation to get to and from Båstad. Which one is most practical will depend on the individual's situation and place of residence.
From Oslo, both car, train and plane are possible. The car trip will take about 5 hours (without a break) with many nice places to see along the way if you have a little extra time on the way to or from the wedding. There are good charging facilities along the way for electric cars. Trains from Oslo with a train change in Gothenburg take about 6-7 hours. For flights, we recommend Oslo - Copenhagen, and the Øresund train from Kastrup airport to Båstad.
From Porsgrunn, car, train and plane are also possible. The car trip will take about 6 hours (without a break) with many nice places to see along the way if you have a little extra time on the way to or from the wedding. There are good charging facilities along the way for electric cars. For flights, we recommend Oslo - Copenhagen, and the Øresund train from Kastrup airport to Båstad.
From Bergen, the journey is relatively long by car (12+ hours), and it should probably be combined with one or more overnight stays along the way. Feel free to contact the wedding couple for tips on places to visit along the way! For flights, we recommend Oslo - Copenhagen, and the Øresund train from Kastrup airport to Båstad.
In all cases, it is also possible to fly to Gothenburg and take the train/bus/car to Båstad. However, the journey from Copenhagen is somewhat faster and therefore recommended.
The nearest airport is Ängelholm–Helsingborg (23 km/25 min by car from Skansen Hotell). However, as the airport is only served via Stockholm the journey is relatively much longer than with the other proposed alternatives.
